Julie Williams
Founder and Board President
Julie Williams retired from Corvallis High School, where she taught physical education and sustainability classes, and coached track and field (1987-2020). In 2012, students in her Sustainability and Society course challenged her to create a project that would have real and lasting climate impact. Seeds for the Sol is the result of that challenge. She has a certificate of completion for Climate Masters and Climate Reality Leadership Training. She participated in the Fulbright-Japan Exchange for Educators for Sustainable Development in 2009. Julie is also on the Leadership Team for Electrify Oregon. She serves on the Renewable Energy Advisory Council for Energy Trust of Oregon and is a member of the Energy Action Team with the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition. Julie is an avid singer and longtime member of Jubilate! The Women’s Choir of Corvallis, and loves to go on outdoor adventures with her partner and friends.
Tery Williams
Board Member
Tery Wlliams has been a practicing attorney for over 20 years with experience in corporate governance and international employment and equity issues. Tery is a Corvallis native who returned to the city recently after 30 years in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Anna Hilbruner
Board Member
Anna is a founding member of Elise Energy Solutions, a COBID-certified, woman-owned emerging small business based in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to creating healthy, energy-efficient homes through home energy auditing, efficiency program consulting, and workforce development. With nearly two decades of experience in residential and commercial energy efficiency, Anna began her career working with rural Alaskan communities discovering a passion for helping people improve comfort, lower costs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. After returning to Oregon, she completed the Oregon Tradeswomen Pre-Apprenticeship program working on residential weatherization upgrades before becoming an energy rater and technical consultant specializing in single-family energy modeling. Anna is an Earth Advantage Certified Sustainable Homes professional and a Building Performance Institute certified analyst with expertise in multiple energy modeling platforms. She is also passionate about mentoring and teaching the next generation of green building professionals.
Maria Robinson
Board Member
Maria Robinson, is an Energy Trust of Oregon Mid-Willamette Valley and coast outreach supervisor. Maria is the Vice President of Habitat Oregon, and she is actively involved with Latino organizations together with Alianza Poder, Mano a Mano, Latino Community and LatinoBuilt, which serve the Mid-Willamette Valley and coastal areas.
Damaris Hernandez
Board Member
Damaris Hernandez is a development practitioner with experience supporting community and international development initiatives in Nicaragua, Mali, Laos, and the United States. She currently works assisting refugee families in Oregon with housing and workforce integration and has contributed to programs that support immigrant and farmworker communities. Damaris holds a Master’s degree in Development Project Management and is enthusiastic about initiatives that address the needs of underserved populations and promote inclusive community development. She has a passion for hiking and reading, with historical fiction being her preferred literary genre.
Micki Reaman
Board Member
A resident of Corvallis since 1992, Micki is editorial, design, and production manager at Oregon State University Press, publisher of books exploring the region’s people and landscapes, flora and fauna, and history and cultural heritage. She worked in the past as managing editor at the nonprofit literary publisher CALYX and marketer and educational program coordinator at The Arts Center (Corvallis). She has served on the OSU Women’s Center Advisory Board, on the core team guiding Jubilate! The Women’s Choir of Corvallis, and on the Benton County Cultural Coalition and planning committee.
Seeds for the Sol inspires her because it makes good things happen every day, combining practical, down-to-earth action with a climate justice and wealth-sharing focus.
Elizabeth Wyatt
Elizabeth Wyatt was a longtime champion of Seeds for the Sol, serving as a founding board member, Treasurer and financial consultant until 2025. Elizabeth was passionate about doing good work for her community and for the world in her work with Seeds for the Sol and at Corvallis High School as the Theater Manager and production extraordinaire. Elizabeth passed away peacefully on October 17. We are grateful for Elizabeth’s commitment, expertise, and enthusiasm to Seeds, and we will miss her.
