Steps to complete for your Seeds for the Sol assisted purchase

  • You must be a Pacific Power or PGE customer to qualify
  • Switching your Electric Hot Water Heater to a Hybrid-Electric Water Heater is the most cost effective option.
  • Gas to Electric is more complicated and receives lower subsidy.
  • There is also a Gas to Gas path.
Again, check the Energy Trust website for more information.

We will purchase your water heater using Energy Trust incentives and pay for installation

Notes about this Process

  • The Electric-to-Electric upgrades are simple and relatively easy.
  • “Heat Pump Water Heater” and “Hybrid-Electric Water Heater” mean the same thing.
  • The Heat Pump Water Heater (i.e. “Hybrid-Electric Water Heater”) is ultra-efficient, saving 66% of the energy of regular water heating. A family of four is expected to save close to $360 annually in energy saved.
